Heat treatment: Heat preservation between 1000-1052ºC for 1-2 hours, rapid air cooling or water cooling.
Mechanical properties: Tensile strength: σb≥795Mpa, yield strength σb≥550Mpa: elongation: δ≥15%, hardness ≤310 (HB)
Corrosion resistance and main use environment: The high chromium and molybdenum content of 2507 duplex steel makes it have a strong ability to resist the overall corrosion of organic acids such as formic acid and acetic acid. 2507 duplex steel also has strong corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, especially those containing chlorides. Compared with 904L, 2507 duplex steel has stronger corrosion resistance to diluted sulfuric acid mixed with chloride ions. 904L is an austenitic alloy designed to resist pure sulfuric acid corrosion. 316L can not be used in hydrochloric acid environment, it may be subjected to local corrosion or overall corrosion. 2507 two-phase steel is used in diluted hydrochloric acid environment, with strong resistance to point corrosion and resistance to backlash corrosion.
