Hastelloy is a nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy, which is mainly divided into two categories: nickel-chromium alloy and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. Hastelloy has good corrosion resistance and thermal stability, and is mostly used in aviation, chemical fields, etc.

Hastelloy is composed of elements such as Ni, Cr, Mo, Fe, Si, etc. It is Ni-Mo series, Ni-Cr-Mo series and Ni-Si series corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant alloys in nickel-based alloys. Its density 9.2g/cm, melting point 1330-1380ºC, magnetic permeability≤1.001(ºC, RT).

ERNiCrMo-4 is used for gas-tungsten-arc and gas-metal-arc welding of Inconel alloy C-276 and other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. Due to high molybdenum content, this alloy offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting and crevice corrosion.

Corrosion resistance and main usage environment:

Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, with extremely low silicon carbon content, and is considered a versatile corrosion-resistant alloy. This alloy has the following characteristics: 1.excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. 2.Has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion. The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, while tungsten further improves its corrosion resistance. At the same time, C-276 alloy is one of the few materials that is resistant to corrosion from moist chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions, and has significant corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride solutions such as iron chloride and copper chloride. Suitable for various concentrations of sulfuric acid solutions, it is one of the few materials that can be applied to hot concentrated sulfuric acid solutions.

Supporting welding materials and welding process: The welding materials for Hastelloy C-276 are ERNiCrMo-4 welding wire and ENiCrMo-4 welding rod, with the following dimensions: Φ 1.0, 1.2, 2.4, 3.2, 4.0, originating from Hastelloy, SMC, and Deutschland.
