Corrosion resistance and main use environment: 2205 duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy compared with 316L and 317L austenitic stainless steel,2205 alloy in the corrosion resistance and crevice corrosion performance is better, it has a high corrosion resistance, compared with austenite, its coefficient of thermal expansion is lower, higher thermal conductivity. Duplex stainless steel 2205 alloy compared to austenitic stainless steel, it is twice its compressive strength, compared to 316L and 317L, designers can reduce its weight. The 2205 alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50 °F/+600°F temperature range and can also be used at lower temperatures under strict restrictions (especially for welded structures).
